Drake was booed off stage at Tyler The Creator's music festival

Drake did not receive a rosy reception on Sunday evening when he stepped on stage at Tyler The Creator’s music festival Camp Flog Gnaw.

The veteran hitmaker was treated so poorly, he ended his set early at the massive Los Angeles venue, Dodger’s Stadium.

This comes weeks after the 33-year-old Scorpion singer was romantically linked with Kylie Jenner, who split from Travis Scott this summer.

There were very few applauds and not many danced along to his music, his critics tweeted later into the night.

And when he suggested he stay longer, the audience booed him and said no thanks, which is a shock for such a big artist.

Drake was a surprise guest on Sunday, meaning he was not expected at all, though a surprise guest was teased on the poster.

And the fans did not like the surprise. 

The problem was likely that they were expecting a much different style of music.

The acts on the list for the Gnaw festival were Solange, FKA Twigs, Juto, Clairo, Willow Smith, Domo Genesis, GoldLink, Dominic Fike and 21 Savage, among others. 

The festival sold a more indie spirit, and the crowd seemed to find that flashy, multimillionaire Drake did not fit that mold.

The crowd chanted Frank Ocean, which clearly showed that they were interested in another musical vibe.  

Drake thanked the audience and politely made his way out of the festival.

The singer was linked to Kylie, 22, during his birthday party in late October as they partied together.

And the two were at the same event on Halloween.

Kylie and Travis split this summer after having fights, it was claimed. Together they shared daughter Stormi, aged one.

Kylie has said that he lives at her Hidden Hills, California mansion as they co-parent Stormi.
