Denise Drysdale announces she has already paid for her FUNERAL – and shares bizarre details about the pre-planned ceremony on Studio 10

Two-time Gold Logie winner Denise Drysdale has already planned her funeral, and mourners can expect a very bizarre ceremony indeed.

The 71-year-old showbusiness legend has paid for the service in full despite being in good health, and has even decided what she’ll wear in the casket.

Denise has bought pyjamas especially for the funeral and plans on ‘drinking’ champagne through a paper straw as she’s lowered into the ground.

‘I’ve got my white casket and my powder blue jammies,’ she said on Studio 10

Denise’s co-host Sarah Harris asked whether she had already worn the funeral pyjamas, to which Denise replied: ‘No, they’re just for death.’

‘And I’ve got my Esky full of ice!’ she added.

‘I’ve got an Esky with ice in it, champagne bottles [for the guests] and one of the champagne bottles is open with a very long paper straw going to my mouth. That’s how I’m going to be during the funeral.’

Denise joked that the straw was so she doesn’t ‘get thirsty on the way to heaven’.

Last year, Denise told Now To Love: ‘I’m okay with dying with dignity. Death doesn’t worry me.

‘What scares me is being dead while alive. I don’t want to be stuck with bad quality of life, you know?’

Studio 10 airs weekdays from 8:30am on Channel 10
