David Beckham and son Cruz do 50 cycle crunches in hardcore home workout


DAVID Beckham and his brood might be on lockdown with the rest of the UK, but that hasn’t impacted their fitness regime.

David, 44, has been keeping fit at home and he’s even roped his 15-year-old son Cruz into joining his routine amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

The former footballer took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse of him and his youngest son doing 50 cycle crunches together.

At the beginning of the impressive clip, Becks tells his 62.5 million followers: “So adidas have unlocked their training app to help us all with some exercise inspiration.

“Like everyone I am trying to keep busy and stay active and, of course, it’s important for me and my boy to stay fit from home,” he adds before asking Cruz if he’s ready.

Wearing a black adidas tracksuit top and matching bottoms, David then begins his hardcore workout and Cruz follows in his footsteps whilst wearing a white adidas T-shirt.

The father and son duo are even wearing brightly coloured beanies for the intense session, whilst David keeps count.

Reaching 50 crunches, David shouts: “Yes!” before attempting to high five his teenage son.

Giggling because they miss each other’s hands, the pair then do so properly before signing off.

Earlier this month David posted a selfie video of him running on a deserted street near his home and admitted it keeps him feeling healthy.

“I have been staying home like all of you trying to keep busy with my family. We are so lucky in the UK to be able to leave our homes to exercise,” he told his fans.

“Running helps me keep my mind and body healthy at times like these. Legs will be sore tomorrow but feels good. #StaySafe #StayStrong #WorldHealthDay.”

It comes after he decided to shave off all of his hair at the beginning of April.

Posting a smouldering black and white photo to social media, David said: “Just had to be done ✂️ #stayhome #staysafe #staystrong GOODNIGHT ?.”

The £6million Oxfordshire barn conversion is the family’s countryside retreat, just down the road from Meghan Markle’s favourite members’ club, Soho Farmhouse, and no doubt has plenty of space for workouts and relaxation.
