Brazen Slowthai wildly mooned NME Awards audience before 'hurling champagne' in extraordinary row

Slowthai bared his bum at the NME Awards audience as he kick-started the show on Wednesday night, before what descended into a chaotic night for the rapper.

Before hurling champagne at fans and leering at Katherine Ryan, Slowthai gave a blistering performance of track Deal Wiv It, that saw him expose himself on stage.

The Northampton musician bounded around topless before dropping his jeans and Union Jack boxers to show off his backside.

Prior to mooning the room filled of fans, musicians and celebs, Slowthai launched himself into the crowd mid-performance and popped a bottle of someone else’s champagne.

Slowthai – real name Tyron Kaymone Frampton – was later awarded won Best Collaboration for the song and took home the Hero of the Year award.

However, many fans have called for him to give back the second honour after his awkward appearance at the bash.

The hip hop star has been slammed for hurling a champagne glass into the audience before jumping to confront hecklers at London’s Brixton Academy.

The crowd gave Slowthai an angry reception after his bizarre exchange with host Katherine Ryan.

He responded by hurling his microphone into the pit, only for a fan to pick it up and call him a ‘wasteman.’

A furious Slowthai then appeared to try and confront the hecklers and was pulled away by security.

The spat occurred after the musician attempted to ‘chat up’ host Katherine Ryan, who he called ‘baby girl.’

“You ain’t never had someone play with you liked I’d play with you,” he told the comedian before asking her to smell his cologne.

Katherine responded by mocking his advances, telling the star he was younger than her babysitter.

When Slowthai said she could ‘earn him’, Katherine quipped: “Or I could just earn loads of money and buy my own house without a man.”

Slowthai previously hit the headlines last September when he performed with a dummy of Boris Johnson’s severed head at the Mercury Prize Awards.

He waved the gruesome effigy of the PM’s head onstage, chanting “f*** Boris Johnson, F*** everything”.

Following a backlash, the rapper apologised.

He told The Sun he was trying to make a statement about the death of democracy in the UK.

“There was no threat ever intended – it was just a fake head.

“There wasn’t any malice in it. I didn’t behead him – I just pulled a head out of a bag with 10 Downing Street on it.”

He said: “I decided to do it over the thing with the Queen. I was just making a point.

“There’s no badness. There’s no threatening behaviour towards Boris. I just said ‘fuck him’.

“All the people who are criticising don’t have any argument, they don’t come with any proper talks. They just come with abuse.

“My mum’s alright about it. She just had a good night. She was surprised but that was about it.”

Asked if he was sorry for the stunt, he said: “Hundred per cent.”
