Arnold Schwarzenegger couldn’t wipe the smile off his face after watching his son graduate.

The 71-year-old reunited with his former mistress Mildred Baena over the weekend to celebrate Joseph’s success.

And it seems like the trio were getting along swimmingly, as they put their differences aside to enjoy the big day.

Taking to Instagram, the proud dad shared a picture with the 21-year-old, where the duo could be seen beaming into the camera as they posed at Pepperdine University in Los Angeles.

Writing in the caption, the Terminator star said: ‘Congratulations Joseph!

‘Four years of hard work studying business at Pepperdine and today is your big day! You have earned all of the celebration and I’m so proud of you. I love you!’

Sharing the same snap, as well as another next to his mum, the graduate echoed the same sentiment as he revealed just how grateful he was to study at the school.

The young star said: ‘Some of the best times of my life are because of this school and the people in these pictures.

‘I’m am so incredibly grateful to have the privilege to study at and graduate from such a beautiful and high caliber school.’

He added: ‘I now have my degree in business administration and with that, I believe this is only the beginning of a new road. Let’s see where it takes us!’

Arnie revealed his affair with Mildred back in 2011, and said in a statement: ‘After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago.

‘I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused.’

Since then he has spoken about Joseph, and how the youngster is handling the news.

Chatting to Howard Stern in 2015, the actor revealed: ‘It’s a very tough situation for him. It’s a very tough situation for my kids. Very tough situation for my family. It was tough for everybody.

‘But it has happened and now we have to figure it out, right?’
