Anthony Joshua says everything is cool between him and Stormzy after a picture he took with his ex Maya Jama caused a stir.
Anthony, 29, posed up with Maya, 25, for an Instagram snap as the sportsman has been teaching Maya how to box.
Seeing the ridiculously good-looking pair together – with Maya being newly single – sparked speculation about their friendship, but the boxer has put the record straight.
Speaking in New York at a roundtable ahead of the press conference for his rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr, he told people to ‘take it how they want’.
Anthony said: ‘So I took a little picture with one of my friends’, a musician, his ex, in the gym and it gets blown out of proportion. Like, “Ohhhh, what’s he doing with her?”, but we were just working on a shoot.
‘But then me and him spoke and I said, “It’s the bloggers job to blog, it’s the social media guy’s job to make good social content, it’s the internet guy’s job to make clickbait”. So people take it how they want.’
Maya, who has presented shows such as The Circle, and Anthony were shooting a campaign together for Lucozade, with Maya sharing behind-the-scenes pics on social media.
Stormzy and Maya split back in August after four years of dating just days after they celebrated the presenter’s birthday together.
The pair were considered a showbiz power couple as they had started dating long before the Know Me From rapper shot to fame.
Just this week Maya and Stormzy attended the GQ Man Of The Year awards, walking the red carpet separately.
