Anna Faris wants to officiate ex-husband Chris Pratt's wedding

With every Hollywood break-up quickly follows the statement confirming that they will remain close friends whatever the world throws at them.

But it appears Anna Faris and Chris Pratt actually meant it.

They only got divorced last year after, citing irreconcilable differences in the legal paperwork which was finalised in October 2018.

The pair said at the time they would remain close after eight years together – and they’ve kept to their word.

Anna has revealed that he told her he was going to ask girlfriend Katherine Schwarzenegger to marry him before he popped the question.

So happy is she that actress has even offered to officiate Chris and Katherine’s wedding later this year.

Hollywood’s former golden couple have remaining on very good terms

The Passengers star is to remarry later this year – and his ex is rather happy

She told Laura Wasser’s podcast Divorce Sucks! : “He was so sweet, as he always is.

“He called me saying ‘So, I’m going to ask Katherine to marry me. I just wanted to give you a heads-up’. And I was like, ‘That’s awesome!’

“Then I told him that I was an ordained minister,” she added.

“Under all of these uncoupling circumstances, I think that we are so good and respectful towards each other, and I think there is so much kindness and love.

They remain a close family – despite the divorce

“And I know we want to get to that ultimate goal, and I know it sounds lame and optimistic, but that’s what I want.”

The pair share custody of son Jack, who was born back in 2012. They always spend Thanksgiving and Christmas together, to minimise the impact on the six-year-old’s life.

Their original statement said they would work hard to stay close.

Chris and Katherine are very much in love

Chris posted on facebook: “Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating.

“We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.

“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

It looks like they weren’t paying lip service to it, either.
