What’s new at Alton Towers?

Last spring, the Straffordshire theme park opened its Wicker Man attraction – the world’s first wooden rollercoaster that runs through fire.

It was the UK’s first new wooden roller coaster in 21 years, and the six-storey-high structure features parts of the track that appear to be set on fire.

Wicker Man joins an amazing line-up of rollercoasters – Galactica, the universe’s first rollercoaster fully dedicated to virtual reality, the legendary Nemesis, and Oblivion’s iconic vertical drop ride.

Not only are there exciting rollercoasters for adults and teens, but there’s plenty on offer for young ones too at the colourful CBeebies Land.
