Adele and Beyonce duet claims send Internet into meltdown

Adele and Beyonce have collaborated on a song together, according to One Republic‘s Ryan Tedder.

Ryan dropped the bombshell on Saturday before he performed at Global Citizen Festival in New York City.

The singer was interviewed by Z100‘s Maxwell who asked for “secrets” about the band’s upcoming album Human, which is released in November.

Ryan said the collaboration between the two huge stars will be on his new record, but it looks like he was just joking.

The 40-year-old frontman also teased fans by joking that another huge artist would appear on the song with the pop queens – Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

He said: “We have one song featuring Beyonce and Adele, with a Chris Martin piano solo on the bridge.”

Some social media users are convinced Ryan was having a laugh at the interviewer’s expense as neither Adele or Beyonce have confirmed the new song.

Adele hasn’t released a single since 2016, which was Water Under the Bridge from her third studio album 25.

She has since made limited public appearances, fuelling speculation among fans that she is working on new music.

Beyonce recently played the part of Nala in Disney’s The Lion King which was released in July – and she recorded a soundtrack to go along with it.

Ryan went on to continue plugging his new music adding: “The bottom line is, we do have an album’s worth of material, and that’s the good news.

“So we’ve been dropping song after song. ‘Rescue Me’ was kind of the first… getting the wheels turning again, and we have a lot more songs to come.”

Ryan has previously co-wrote Beyonce’s singles Halo, XO and I Was Here, as well as collaborating with Adele on the songs Remedy, Rumour Has It and Turning Tables.
