4-year-old shot while playing video games with father in Michigan – MLive.com


A toddler is recovering in the hospital after being shot in Pontiac.

The 4-year-old boy was shot in his living room while playing video games with his dad the morning on Monday, April 6.

According to FOX-2 Detroit, someone opened fire on the home in the 300 block of Going Street, which is near Sanford and Osmun streets.

Those inside the home heard gunshots and saw debris flying around before they got down on the floor. That’s when the child’s mother saw he had been shot in the shoulder.

The mother took her son to St. Joseph’s Mercy Hospital, where he was stabilized before being transferred to another hospital.

Police say two adults in their 20s and four kids under the age of 10 were inside, FOX-2 Detroit reports.

Nobody else inside the home was hurt in the shooting.

Police found three spent shell casings in the front yard.

The incident is under investigation. Police have not released any information on a suspect or motive.
