Zayn Malik has had fans confused over the past few days when he had a ‘vent’ on Twitter, apologising for ‘being a s*** person’.

Naturally, his followers demanded to know who had hurt the poor guy.

However, the former One Direction star is now sounding a lot cheerier, tweeting: ‘Currently happy, could be happier. Thanks for all the love and thoughts yesterday just had a vent ha x’.

‘We’re so proud of you!!’ one follower replied.

‘Oh im happy if you’re happy!’ another added.

The Dusk Til Dawn singer’s comment comes after he tweeted: ‘I’d like apologize for basically being a s*** person’ – before quickly deleting the post.

And the star has recently been surrounded by rumours that he and girlfriend Gigi Hadid had split.

According to an insider, the pair – who first started dating back in 2015 – believed the space was best for their romance.

‘Both been really focused on themselves and their separate careers,’ the insider told E! News with Zayn, 26, ‘in the studio recording new music and pushing out his new album’.

Gigi, 23, was also said to be ‘focusing a lot of time on herself’.

However, Zayn since appears to have put those rumours to bed, tweeting Gigi: ‘Love you’.

And, earlier in the week, he tweeted a fan about his favourite piece of jewelry, a bracelet that says ‘I’m with you.’

‘I love it because Gigi bought me it,’ he tweeted.

We’re emotional.

Meanwhile, the singer broke hearts when he revealed that he hasn’t spoken to his former band mates in a while due to ‘snide’ remarks being made.

Our hopes of a reunion have well and truly been shattered.

‘I ain’t spoke to any of them for a long time, to be honest with you. That’s just the way it is,’ he explained to Vogue.

‘There’s things that happen and things that were said after I left. Snide things. Small things that I would never have expected.’

Well that’s that, then.
