YouTuber Roman Atwood ‘in disbelief’ as his mum dies after falling off a scooter on family holiday

YouTuber Roman Atwood is in shock after his mother has passed away during a family holiday.

The vlogger, famed for family channel RomanAtwoodVlogs, announced that his beloved mum Susan died on Wednesday, hours after falling off a toy scooter.

In a statement on Twitter, posted to his 3million followers, Roman said he and his family were still in ‘disbelief’.

He said: ‘Yesterday my mom was riding around with my nephew on some little scooters. She fell off hers and hit her head. She immediately lost vitals. No heart rate and her breathing stopped.

‘She was rushed to the hospital where we spent the next 8 hours. My beautiful mother passed away shortly after. I need everyone to understand that I will be gone for a bit.’

Roman explained his plans to fly back to Ohio and be with his father while they ‘figure everything out’.

‘I’ve never been in more shock in my life,’ he added. ‘I’m numb and in complete disbelief. My heart is so heavy. We are all broken over here. My mom was everything to us.’

Roman has been in the Bahamas for the last week making videos for his channel RomanAtwoodVlogs.

According to People, he remains one of the highest paid YouTubers in the business, with a net worth of $2.5 million a year, as of 2015.

With wife Brittney, Noah raises three children of his own, sons Noah and Kane and daughter Cora, making popular lifestyle videos about their family adventures since 2013.

His family-friendly channel has amassed over 5 billion views in six years with his famous mantras is ‘family first, smile more’.
