You can now buy a dummy which pops closed whenever it’s dropped – saving mums the gross chore of sucking it clean

A DUMMY which pops shut when it’s dropped on the floor could spell the end of searching for clean dummies – or sucking dirty ones.

Mums will know how annoying it is bending over a hundred times a day to pick up a dummy, then having to find a way to clean it ASAP while your child screams at you.

The dummy is designed to not shut it if it gently falls next to your baby

But that could all be a thing of the past after a company invented the Pop Pacifier, which sees the teat retract when your child drops it out their mouth.

Made by Doddle & Co, the ‘self-protective’ dummy will only snap shut when it takes a hard knock, so if it gently falls next to them while they’re sleeping it won’t shut.

Explaining their creation, The company said: “The nipple was designed to only have a pullback when it takes a real tumble to the floor or the ground.

“Otherwise, if it falls on baby’s chest or crib, the nipple will stay extended & ready for baby.
