Lewis Hamilton might be one of the fastest men alive when he’s behind the wheel of a car, but it seems the Formula 1 driver is in the mood to master another mode of transport these days.

The British racer was snapped zooming around on a scooter while preparing for the British Grand Prix, which takes place on Sunday.

Lewis, 34, seemed to be having a whale of a time rolling around in the paddock in Silverstone racetrack on Thursday and he looked stylish while doing so, too.

The fashion lover rocked a beige jacket and matching cargo pants, teamed with a white top and a pair of trainers.

His hair was styled into neat cornrows, while he completed his look with some classic aviator shades.

Lewis’ sleek look comes just days after he posted a selfie of him with his hair free and curly, inspiring fans not to be afraid to be vulnerable.

He wrote: ‘Posting this because this is me, unfiltered and basic. In today’s society, everyone is using so many apps and filters to make themselves look perfect and I think we need to start encouraging ourselves and others to love themselves just the way they are.

‘It is our imperfections that make us special and unique. Like many, I too have insecurities and for whatever reason have questioned the way I look because of the pressures in society and I’ve come to realise that, I am who I am and I’m not changing for nobody.

‘So here’s me trying to be vulnerable and letting you know that it’s ok to feel vulnerable and I implore you to learn to love yourself for who you are because you really are special.’

Lewis is hoping for better success at the British GP after he lost out to Max Verstappen at Austrian GP, due to claims his car suffered from overheating during the sweltering heatwave in Europe.

He added: ‘Lastly, wasn’t the best weekend for me but over the years I’ve learnt to notice the lessons that come from difficult days.

‘I made two mistakes this weekend which for me is rare but were costly. Accepting and Acknowledging are key to the learning process and swiftly move on!

‘Tomorrow’s a new day, back to training and get myself right for the British Grand Prix! ‘Hope you all had an amazing weekend. God Bless’.

It’s been a difficult couple of months for Lewis who was greatly affected by the death of Formula 1 legend and his mentor Niki Lauda back in May.

In a heartfelt message at the time, Lewis described the late racing star as his ‘buddy’ and promised to support his family.

The racer also admitted he was ‘struggling to believe’ Lauda had passed.
