Xbox Live DOWN: Server Status latest for gamers hit with Xbox One 0x87dd0006 error


UPDATE ONE: Microsoft has confirmed that they are now looking into tonight’s Xbox Live server problems, with reports of sign in issues affecting Xbox One and other platforms.

“Our engineers and developers are actively continuing to work to resolve the issue causing some members to have problems signing in to Xbox Live. Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience,” the latest support message from Microsoft reads.

Problems include Signing in; creating, managing, or recovering an account; search on Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the Windows 10 platform.

ORIGINAL: Xbox Live is currently down for many console users tonight, who are reporting trouble using core online features.

Error reports first coming in around 5am in the UK and appear to be connected with signing in to to the Xbox Live service page.

“Nope, it’s still not up. It let me sign in at first, then wouldn’t let me into an EA game. Now I can’t sign into my Xbox Live,” one affected user writes.

Another adds: “Fort Worth TX is a no go. I just wanted to play a couple of games of NHL tonight before I have surgery in the morning, but I guess not.”

So far, Microsoft has not updated its Server Status page, making it difficult to work out what exactly is going on.

However, if tonight’s Xbox Live server outage continues, you can expect an update from the Microsoft support team shortly.

Xbox Live users are reporting having trouble signing in and playing games, while also seeing an 0x87dd0006 error.

It’s unclear at this time how long tonight’s outage will last and how far it has spread.

Based on the number of error reports, it’s safe to assume these Xbox One issues are affecting gamers globally.

More news is expected from Microsoft if tonight’s outage continues for a lengthy period.

Another game and service that appears to have been affected is PUBG, which has also seen a spike in error message tonight.

This is likely connected to the current Xbox Live server outage.
