Microsoft’s Xbox brand will support this year’s DreamHack Winter event, a gaming and esports festival taking place in Jönköping, Sweden. DreamHack is known for its large bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) halls, but console gaming is also part of the experience, and through the Microsoft partnership, a freeplay zone will be set up with over 140 Xbox machines. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Attendees who are holders of the Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft’s gaming subscription service, will gain access to an exclusive lounge at the festival. In addition, they will receive beta access to the upcoming PC version of the Game Pass. “Xbox Game Pass for PC was built from the ground up with the PC gaming community and we’re excited for PC gamers to be able to check out this new experience with us onsite alongside the console experience,” said Nicholai Hamre, Nordic Xbox Category Manager, in a statement.

DreamHack Winter will be part of the company’s 25th-year celebration and will include open qualifier esports tournaments and on-site expo, on top of the BYOC halls. Held in Jönköping’s Elmia convention, the Summer and Winter DreamHack events typically attract 50,000 visitors each. Other partners for this year’s Winter edition include PC retailer Komplett, Monster Energy, and Pringles
