World Health Organisation recommends active video games for those self-isolating – PC Games Insider


The World Health Organisation (WHO) has included “playing active video games” in its advice for activities that those stuck at home a the moment can do to stay active.

In a post on Twitter (below), active video games join online exercise classes, dancing, using a jumping rope as well as muscle strength and balance training. This follows the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, which has seen citizens around the world being encouraged to stay indoors in order to slow the spread of the virus.

“Doing any activity around the home is better than none at all,” the WHO said.

“Be active during #COVID19 outbreak to maintain your heart health, muscle strength and flexibility. It is good for your mental health too.”
