A woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend during a fight over her children playing video games late at night.
West Palm Beach Police arrested 28-year-old Tierra Angelique Newson on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Police said she slashed her boyfriend with a knife after she became upset that he let the kids stay up late playing video games. She said after he slapped a beer out of her hand, he pushed her down and she picked up a small knife on the floor and swung toward him, cutting him on his left side. According to the arrest report, the boyfriend threw her clothes down the stairs, and told her to get out of the house shortly before the knife incident. The boyfriend said he didn’t see the knife when she swung at him. Police did not find a knife at the scene but they said the injury to the man’s side appeared consistent with a knife wound.
Newson appeared in court Wednesday morning.
