Why Amazon Prime football streams are delayed – and how buffering problems are caused


Amazon Prime enter the live football broadcaster arena on Tuesday night to a fairly positive response.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth was the first match to be shown on the platform – which Jeff Schlupp grabbing the only goal to give the 10-man Eagles a victory which sent them up to fifth in the Premier League.

Manchester City started slightly later and also worked well on Amazon – as Pep Guardiola’s side tasted a 4-1 victory over Burnley at Turf Moor.

The only negatives some users found was an issue with buffering along with the slight delay between social media’s proclamations or the radio commentary and what they could see on the screen.
