When was the first Love Island elimination?

The first elimination of series five took place tonight (June 7, 2019) and saw aircraft engineer Callum become the first islander to leave the competition.

None of the female cast members chose to couple up with him, leaving him single and ultimately sent him home.

Speaking after his elimination, Callum said: “It’s unfortunate that I didn’t meet anyone that I connected with but I had such good fun in there.

“Even though I didn’t meet anyone that I could potentially be with on the outside, I loved it, which is a great bonus.”

Who’s now in danger of being sent home from Love Island?

Yewande Biala is tipped to be the first girl to leave the series, perhaps because she has struggled to make a connection with any of the boys in the villa.

Bookmaker Coral has odds of 4/5 for the Dublin-based scientist to be the next star kicked off the show.

Following behind is Anna Vakili with odds of 5/2 and Amber Gill at 5/1, meanwhile Molly-Mae Hague has odds of 10/1.

Lucie Donlan and Amy Hart’s chances of being the first girl axed from the series are slim to none with 20/1 and 33/1, respectively.

How does the voting system for Love Island work?

When the elimination happens tomorrow it will be decided by the Islanders.

However, usually Love Island viewers can take part in all public votes via the free app, once per device.

At the end of an episode, Love Island will reveal if there is an active vote which is usually used to allow viewers to pick who leaves, who returns and which pair will be sent on a date.

The official Love Island app is available to download for Android and Apple iOS users.

It is free to download and use via the iTunes App Store here or on Play Store here.

What days in the week is Love Island on ITV2?

You’ll be able to get your fix of the show every night on ITV2 where the main programme, hilariously narrated by Iain Stirling,  will give us the lowdown on all the goings-on in the villa – from couples cracking on to singletons getting mugged off.

Saturday night’s show differs from the rest of the week, as it is a round-up of all the best bits from the villa that week – and maybe some unseen footage.

If that’s not enough, you can also watch Caroline Flack‘s spin off show Aftersun on Sunday nights at 10pm after the main show has aired, where she discusses the latest action with celebrity guests, as well as those eliminated from the villa.
