West Bromwich Albion 2-0 Luton Town: Own goal helps WBA go top of Championship

Luton’s James Collins thought he had equalised in the first half

West Brom ended their seven-game winless run by beating bottom club Luton to go back to the top of the Championship.

Luton’s Donervon Daniels put through his own net on 14 minutes and Semi Ajayi wrapped up the points in the second half.

James Collins thought he had equalised in the first half but was ruled offside and the Hatters had a penalty claim turned down when Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu was challenged in the box by Kyle Bartley.

Callum Robinson impressed on his Baggies debut after a deadline-day loan from Sheffield United, setting up the own goal with a ball in from the left.

More to follow.
