Weekday has launched a 100% recycled collection and we want everything

With environmentally conscious fashion at the forefront of everyone’s minds right now, the search to find a new season wardrobe that doesn’t come at the cost of people or the planet can feel like a daunting prospect.

One more brand that’s doing its bit to cultivate a kinder environmental footprint and making it easier for us to shop the high street fairly is Weekday.

The fashion-forward Swedish brand has released a SS19 collection made from 100% recycled fabrics, in collaboration with Spanish upcycling company Recover.

Yep, we’re not talking a few conscious t-shirts or one dress made from recycled fibres that costs your entire month’s salary. Weekday x Recover is a comprehensive collection filled with workwear, loungewear and sleepwear pieces that puts sustainability top of the agenda.

The new collection, which celebrates our power to make sustainable decisions, features all the classic design features that we’ve come to expect from the Swedish retailer so far; think bold silhouettes, utility styling and contrast stitching.

There’s plenty of minimalist denim workwear suiting, including heavy woven cotton 90s-inspired cargo jeans and a major denim dungaree dress, as well as casual jersey loungewear made from light knitted cotton.

All pieces in the limited edition collection are 100% recycled, using
post-industrial cotton waste blended with recycled polyester to produce the fibres. What’s more, the low impact textiles save on energy, CO2, chemicals and water, and help save PET bottles from ending up in landfill or oceans.

Modern, cool and kind on the planet, Weekday have got your SS19 wardrobe sorted. Just be sure to snap these pieces up quick, because they won’t hand around for long.

Weekday x Recover is available in selected Weekday stores and online from 21st March 2019.
