One woman has gone viral on TikTok after sharing how a simple bucket helps keep the romance alive in her relationship.
And in her case, it’s a simple plastic container decorated with pirates.
Kristen Marie shared how she learnt about the “just because bucket” from her married friends, who started using it in their relationships years ago.
In it, she said: “Let me tell you about the ‘Just because’ bucket. A couple of friends told us that they did this in their relationship years ago and I thought it was an amazing idea.
“So the concept is simple. Buy a cheap container or bucket and fill it with little things that you think would make your partners day.
“They don’t have to be expensive. And then you give them that bucket for no occasion, other than the fact you’re just grateful for them.
“And then the bucket is in their court – so they do the same for you whenever they feel like it.
“And it’s not on a timeline, so it could be weeks, months or years before they return it back.”
Kristen’s video exploring the concept has been viewed more than 3.2 million times on TikTok and racked up thousands of comments.
One person joked: “I would start a fight if he waited longer than a week to return it.”
Another said: “Imagine they propose with the bucket at some point when it’s their turn. That would be adorable.”
