Watch Fallon Spoof Taylor Swift’s ‘You Need to Calm Down’ as Bernie, Beto and Trump

Jimmy Fallon broke out his three most trusty wigs for a parody of Taylor Swift’s “You Need to Calm” down, singing the song as Beto O’Rourke, Bernie Sanders and President Donald Trump on The Tonight Show Thursday.

The bit found Fallon in his dressing room, as if he were doing everything just to amuse himself. Donning his O’Rourke hair and a big grin, he flung his hands about and sang, “I cannot calm down, I’m so freaking pumped, I’m gonna beat Trump/I can’t calm down — oh wait, my numbers are down?/Eff yeah!”

Then as Sanders, Fallon jutted out his jaw and howled, “Back on the scene I am Bernie/If you think I have changed do not worry/Want free health care/And a comb for my hair.” Then finally as Trump, Fallon tweaked the song’s chorus to sing, “And I’m just like, ‘Donald, Donald, Donald!’/I wanna tweet now/I keep getting blocked, but I’m loaded and I’m cocked/I’m gonna tweet now.”

Later during his monologue, Fallon tapped the Roots’ Tarik Trotter — a.k.a. Black Thought — to perform a rap recap of the first two Democratic primary debates. The MC peeled off plenty of delightful political punch lines, like “The first night, Liz Warren came out feeling big/Dunking on those candidates like Zion in a wig” and “Kamala spoke about Trump/She asked if he pays enoguh/And smoked him out like she was in her blazer, later blazing up.”
