Watch Colbert Turn Trump’s Latest Racist Rant Into ‘God Bless America’ Parody

Stephen Colbert called out President Donald Trump for his latest racist rant after he went after Maryland’s 7th District, which includes most of Baltimore, and its long-time representative, Elijah Cummings, who criticized the conditions at the U.S.-Mexico border.

During his monologue on The Late Show Monday, Colbert reintroduced a segment called “Is Donald Trump Racist?,” adding the subtitle “Episode three million.” After detailing Trump’s tweets against Cummings, where the president called him a “brutal bully,” and his district “a disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” and a “very dangerous & filthy place,” Colbert noted that Trump is the president of the United States and Baltimore is indeed located in the United States.

He then launched into a version of “God Bless America,” parodying Trump’s voice. “God Bless America, except Baltimore. They got rats there, no MAGA hats there. I avoid it because they are poor.”

After Trump was criticized for his rant against Cummings, Trump took to Twitter to try and defend himself, saying he was not a racist, but then he called Cummings a racist. “I’m not the racist, he’s the racist,” Colbert cracked in his Trump voice. “After all, I wouldn’t have said anything racist at all if he was white.”

Colbert also slammed Trump for his put downs of other American cities and states, including San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Iowa.

“At this rate, he’s going to take the flag and replace half the stars with poop emojis,” Colbert quipped.
