A fourth and fifth season of the swoon-worthy small town drama has finally been confirmed in true Virgin River fashion. The exciting announcement was made with a romantic Instagram post, which could be teasing yet another proposal when the Netflix drama returns.
Romantic co-leads Martin Henderson and Alexandra Breckenridge have confirmed another two seasons of Virgin River, and wedding bells could soon follow.
The announcement was made with a new video from the show’s official Instagram account on Monday.
In the short promotional clip, Henderson got down on one knee to make an important proposition to his co-star.
Echoing the dramatic final moments of Virgin River’s latest outing, instead of asking Mel for her hand in marriage, the star asks if she’ll be willing to return for a fourth season.

For now, Mel and Jack will clearly be too focused on baby preparations to think about planning a wedding.
Even so, it’s only a matter of time before Virgin River gives fans what they want and finally lets Jack and Mel officially tie the knot.
As the series has already featured one semi-proposal, season four could very well open on Jack already down on one knee for a second time.
On the other hand, a successful redo could be the perfect way to end the next outing as a parallel to Jack’s failed first try.
Alternatively, with Jack and Mel’s future together practically sealed, they could start the next season already engaged to be married and with a baby on the way.
Whatever the case, Virgin River’s duel renewal was a sure sign for fans Netflix is confident the series can continue for many years to come.
An official release date has yet to be announced, but subscribers should expect the next season to roll around in mid-to-late 2022.
