Spoon-bender Uri Geller clearly meant business when he said he would single-handedly stop Brexit using his telepathic powers.
The illusionist has taken credit for causing a flood in the House of Commons last night which saw MPs suspend their session after water started gushing from the ceiling.
The magician and ardent remainer says he bent the pipes in the roofing and told MPs he ‘wont apologise’ because they ‘all deserve it.’
yes I did it @HouseofCommons ! I bent the pipes, and I won’t apologise, you all deserve it! #brexit #startfromscratch

It’s not like you couldn’t see it coming, after the 72-year-old self-proclaimed psycic warning sent an open letter to Theresa May last month saying: ‘I love you very much but I will not allow you to lead Britain into Brexit.
‘As much as I admire you, I will stop you telepathically from doing this – and believe me I am capable of executing it.’
At this point, many hardcore remainers might think that anything is worth a try, but it probably would have helped if MPs were actually talking about Brexit at the time of the flooding and not the introduction of the 2019 Loan Charge.
You know they’re working on the roof right? They weren’t even discussing Brexit when the leak started…..seriously, how much can you crave publicity? Get some help.

Some Twitter users used the opportunity to ask Uri to help them with their plumbing while an elderly woman asked if he could get her hips and joints working properly again.
One skeptic said his claim to have flooded the Commons would have been more plausible if he had tweeted before it happened.
Cool, if you’re doing plumbing now can you have a psychic gander under my bath? I think there’s a leak but I don’t want to pull up the floorboards to check.

My hip & knee joints are not so good these days. Can you do an old woman a favour and get them working properly. Thank you in advance

This would have been more impressive if you tweeted it before the pipes burst…

Uri Geller has also invited the public to join him in chanting: ‘Theresa bring us to a second vote. Go for a second referendum’ every day at 11:11AM and PM.
He seems to have a thing for the number 11, having asked people to send positive energy 11 minutes before England played Croatia in last year’s World Cup semi-finals to help them win (which they didn’t).
He also predicted that Donald Trump would be elected as the 45th President of the US, leading some to ask why he couldn’t have used his mind powers to stop it.
