Upcoming American season of The Bachelor rumoured to film finale in Australia

The 24th season of The Bachelor U.S. will begin filming in the coming weeks. 

And according to reliable spoiler blog Reality Steve, the grand finale will be filmed in Australia.

‘The overnights dates and final rose ceremony will be held for the first time ever in Australia,’ the blog reported this week.

‘I know they’ve been looking for years to go to Australia since they’ve never been there,’ they continued.

‘They’re finally doing it. Not sure what part of Australia the final rose ceremony will be, but they’re definitely headed there in early November.’

On the American version of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, the finalists who make it past the hometown dates go on a special overnight date where they’re given the opportunity to consummate their relationship in a ‘fantasy suite’. 

The final two then go to the grand finale, which is always filmed in an overseas location.

While filming the American finale Down Under is sure to excite fans, it does put the series at a huge risk of being spoiled by paparazzi.

The Australian version of The Bachelor is regularly photographed by paparazzi during filming, so American producers will be forced to go to great lengths to keep the series under wraps. 

While the official lead for the next season of The Bachelor has yet to be officially announced, multiple reports claim that Peter Weber a.k.a. ‘Pilot Pete’ has snagged the role.

The 27-year-old became a fan favourite after placing third on Hannah Brown’s explosive season of The Bachalorette earlier this year.

TMZ speculated this week that the lovable pilot was ‘filming his introduction’ for the show after he was spotted at the airport with a camera crew in tow.

When asked if he was the next Bachelor, Pete cheekily responded: ‘You’ll find out soon, man!’
