Tyson Fury has dismissed Deontay Wilder as a “one-trick pony” ahead of Saturday’s huge rematch at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Fury claims Wilder’s only tactic is to knock people out and the unbeaten WBC heavyweight king has stopped 41 of his 42 victims.

The Gypsy King says Wilder should be worried because he proved in their first controversial draw in December 2018 that he can get up from his best shots.

“There’s no stress for me going into this fight,” said the undefeated Fury. “I’ve been 12 rounds, outboxed him quite comfortably, taken his best shots, got up and fired back at him.

“The one who should be concerned is Deontay Wilder with him being a one-trick pony.

Tyson Fury has taunted Deontay Wilder ahead of their Las Vegas rematch

“He’s a knock-out artist. He knocked me down twice in two rounds, nine and 12. He had over two minutes in each round to finish me and he couldn’t finish me.

“I know what he’s like and I think there’s nothing to worry about. He’s got a big right hand and that’s it. He’s a one-dimensional fighter and I’m going to prove that on Saturday.”

Fury, 31, further taunted Wilder by claiming he is not his toughest opponent, insisting former IBF cruiserweight champ Steve Cunningham gave him a harder fight when he beat him in 2013.

“I’d say Wilder was one of my easiest fights and other than the two knockdowns, it was a pretty one-sided fight,” he said.

Fury claims Wilder was “one of his easiest” fights

“Deontay Wilder is not my toughest opponent, that’s for sure. My toughest opponent in my whole career was Steve Cunningham. That was the toughest fight I’ve ever had.”

Despite being dismissed as a one-trick pony by Fury, Wilder this week fans are “witnessing greatness” when he steps into the ring.

“Every time you see my highlights, you see guys go, you see bodies hitting the canvas in unbelievable fashion and style,” Wilder said

“For me if people label me as the hardest hitting heavyweight in history then I accept it and I agree. We have seen nobody do this before.

“The ones who don’t want to believe – who we call haters – they can’t always keep the drum beating that it was the opposition not being up to it.

“Just because you punch someone in the face, doesn’t mean you can knock them out.

“The math doesn’t add up, the science doesn’t allow it to work that way.

“We are witnessing greatness with me and we are witnessing something we have never seen in our lives.”
