Twitter erupts as Rebekah and Jamie Vardy announce baby's birth … after THAT Coleen Rooney WAG war

Rebekah and Jamie Vardy announced they had welcomed their third child, a baby girl, together on Saturday.

And it didn’t take long for fans to react to the news on Twitter by lightheartedly referencing the new mother’s so called WAG war with Coleen Rooney.

In October Rebekah was accused of leaking stories to The Sun, which she fiercely denied, with Coleen signing off her explosive Instagram post: ‘It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

It's a girl! Rebekah Vardy, 37, has given birth to her fifth child with her husband Jamie, 32, with many people congratulating the couple as they reference her recent spat with Coleen Rooney

After announcing their daughter had been born, many people congratulated the Vardy family and also made jokes referencing Coleen’s accusations.

Some people jokingly suggested that Jamie and Rebekah could call the new arrival Coleen, while others said the WAG could be a godmother.

And dozens – including the Match Of The Day Twitter account – quoted Coleen’s now infamous line of ‘it’s …. Rebekah Vardy’s account’, adjusting it to ‘it’s ….. baby Vardy’.

Others said ‘what’s she called her … Coleen?’ while another Twitter user added ‘have Coleen and Wayne visited yet?’

Someone else referenced the WAG war, writing: ‘I’m sure we’ll see some pictures soon on… Rebekah Vardy’s account’.

While a few football fans were left frustrated that Jamie’s absence from the football pitch would mean their Fantasy Premier League games would be effected.

One person wrote: ‘How Jamie Vardy has prioritised the birth of his third child over earning me FPL points after I gave him the armband, I don’t know.’

And another added: ‘Vardy’s wife just gave birth, so he’s been excused to be with his family, in other words #fpl managers who own and captained Vardy are f****d’.

Jokers: Dozens of people, including the Match of The Day Twitter account, shared the family's happy news by referencing Coleen's accusations and line of 'it's .... Rebekah Vardy's account'

Two months ago Rebekah was explosively accused by Coleen of leaking stories about her, leading to the WAG war that captivated the nation.

At the time, it was revealed by sources close to Rebekah that leading law firm Kingsley Napley sent Coleen a letter on her behalf demanding she provide them with the evidence she has against Becky so she could complete her investigation.

Rebekah called in a forensic team to analyse her Instagram account and identify the mole who sold the stories to The Sun.

Coleen was given the nickname ‘Wagatha Christie’ when it was revealed she had been leaking fake stories on her private Instagram to see who was passing the information to the press.

She wrote on October 9: ‘For a few years now someone who I trusted to follow me on my personal Instagram account has been consistently informing The Sun newspaper of my private posts and stories.

‘There has been so much information given to them about me, my friends and my family – all without my permission or knowledge.

‘After a long time of trying to figure out who it could be, for various reasons, I had a suspicion. To try and prove this, I came up with an idea, I blocked everyone from viewing Instagram except ONE account.

‘It’s been tough keeping it to myself and not making any comment at all, especially when the stories have been leaked, however I had to. Now I know for certain which account/individual it’s come from.

‘I have saved and screenshotted all the original stories which clearly show just one person has viewed them. It’s……… Rebekah Vardy’s account.’

She signed out with the message: ‘This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it……’

Rebekah and Jamie announced the arrival of their daughter on Saturday, soon after his manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that he wouldn’t be on the pitch against West Ham.

Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling also confirmed the news to viewers, saying: ‘And good reason that Jamie Vardy not being there, his wife Rebekah has just given birth to another baby. It was a boy… or a girl, we’re not quite sure on that.’
