Twitch Reveals Amazon Prime Day Tournaments, Promotions

 Amazon’s Database-Link-e1521645463907 Prime Day is an annual promotion that offers special deals on an array of products, and this year, Twitch Database-Link-e1521645463907 (which is owned by Amazon) will hold tournaments and promotions around the event.

 The streaming platform will host a pair of Twitch Prime Crown Cup live competitions in July in the days leading up to expanded two-day Prime Day promotion (July 15-16). From July 11-13, Twitch will hold an Apex Legends Database-Link-e1521645463907 tournament in Las Vegas, with celebrities and streamers competing against each other. Following practice rounds on the first two days, the finals will air on July 13 via the Twitch Prime channel on Twitch, with streamer Tim “TimTheTatman” Betar as host.

 Also on July 13, another Twitch Prime Crown Cup event will take place in London featuring various EA Sports Database-Link-e1521645463907 titles. Twitch did not specify which games will be played, but EA Sports makes such games as FIFA 19 Database-Link-e1521645463907, Madden NFL 19 Database-Link-e1521645463907, and NHL 19 Database-Link-e1521645463907. The competition will be hosted by streamer Edwin “Castro1021” Castro, and also streamed via the Twitch Prime channel.

 The Apex Legends tournament will feature DJ Dillon Francis and music producer Murda Beatz, while soccer star Thierry Henry, Olympic runner Mo Farah, and X Games gold medalist skateboarder Leticia Bufoni will participate in the EA Sports competition.

 In early July, Twitch Prime will also mark the incoming Electronic Arts Database-Link-e1521645463907 promotions by offering free in-game content for Apex Legends and EA Sports games to Twitch Prime subscribers.

 Twitch will also host “Twitch Sells Out” streams on July 15-16 on the Twitch Presents channel, with dozens of streamers showcasing select Prime Day deals from a variety of categories.
