Arsenal are closing in on their second signing of the summer with reports in Spain suggesting a move for Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos is imminent, while the Gunners remain young defender William Saliba’s first-choice even though St Etienne would prefer him to join north London rivals Tottenham.

Arsenal are also being linked with a move for Gremio’s Brazil international forward Everton Soares, while Spurs could see a key player leave in the form of Danny Rose after the left-back was left out of Mauricio Pochettino’s pre-season squad with a view to being sold this summer. We start the morning off with the latest on Paul Pogba’s Manchester United future.

 

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has gone on the charm offensive with the France midfielder, stressing that he can build his squad around the 26-year-old.

 

And in his latest comments from the club’s pre-season tour of Australia, Solskjaer has reiterated where he sees Pogba in his future.

 

“Paul is a fantastic player, a fantastic human being and has always been a great professional,” Solskjaer told reporters in Perth.

“I said (previously), ‘if he’s in your squad, you’d build your team around him’… I haven’t changed that much since then, so I’d say the same now.”

“We know Paul has been criticised by a few but he’s loved by loads more. The ones that might want to leave (the club) now haven’t been here when it’s been successful. Hopefully they want to be part of that. I want to be part of it.”
