Look, by this stage, we could probably do a complete wardrobe overhaul in time for the height of summer just by visiting Topshop. They just can’t help bringing out cult item after cult item and they sell out almost as fast as they can fill their racks with clothes.
Before now, they brought out those ridiculously famous snake print and polka dot dresses. Remember when everyone on Instagram was wearing them and you could barely go for a chilled glass of rosé down the pub without spotting one?
Then, they had the hugely popular slip skirt. They brought out that iconic handkerchief halter top. They’ve given us neat little pairs of strappy sandals.
And, obviously, it almost goes without saying that they brought out that stupidly Instagram-friendly garment known as the Austin dress. It came in multiple prints but the runaway favourite was clearly the ethereal but sexy mixed floral. They just brought out the Austin dress as a top, too, in multiple prints.
So, we are absolutely the living embodiment of the google-eye emoji, now that Topshop have announced that they’ve restocked their latest sellout item: the Phoenix playsuit. Spring/Summer 2019 is the season of playsuits and frankly this is the perfect example of a versatile, comfy, chic one. It first came out in April of this year, but it sold out almost immediately. The boiler suit trend is huge this year, so we’re not at all surprised that this little number was snapped up so quickly. We’re just relieved to see that it’s back.
As you can see, it’s available in three colours: ecru, khaki and denim blue.
You could style it with a classic pair of strappy sandals on a hot day, trainers to dress it down a little or heels to chic it up for a night-time outing.
