England face Australia today in the 2019 Cricket World Cup semi-final and captain Eoin Morgan has fired a warning to his side’s opponents and critics.

After losing in the group stage against Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Australia, England hit back to win their final two matches and qualify for the last four.

The majority of the UK’s newspapers report Morgan’s pre-match comments on the back pages today.

With England coming into the semi-final on the back of victories against India and New Zealand, Morgan says his side are back to their best and have no fear as they bid to beat the Aussies and reach the Cricket World Cup final.

“It just feels like we are back to the team we are,” said Morgan. “I think we are probably more confident than we were three games ago – a different team.

“We managed to produce something similar to the cricket we have been playing over the last four years and that was really encouraging.”

The winner of the Australia vs. England clash will set up a meeting with New Zealand in Sunday’s Cricket World Cup final at Lord’s.

The Black Caps progressed to the Lord’s showpiece after shocking India in the first semi-final at Old Trafford yesterday.
