Timothee Chalamet is treating himself to his first break from work in two years and we can definitely say he deserves it.
It’s been a pretty rapid rise to ‘it boy’ status for Timothee, and understandably he’s a bit knackered after going from an unknown actor to one of the world’s best known faces (and names) in less than three years.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly alongside his frequent collaborator, actress Saoirse Ronan, the 23-year-old actor admitted that his jam packed schedule of shooting, promoting and then attending award ceremonies had left him in need of a break.
Having made Netflix’s The King alongside Robert Pattinson immediately before reuniting with Saoirse and director Greta Gerwig on Little Women, Timothee admitted that his current moment of rest was ‘the first time in almost two years I’ve gotten a breath.’
‘I’m savouring it,’ the French-American actor laughed.
Well, what does a world famous actor do with their free time? Spend it canoodling with Lily Rose Depp, if recent rumours are to be believed.
First romantically linked a year ago, the bright young things have recently starred together in The King, with Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp’s daughter deciding to keep her distance from her man on the film’s red carpet.
However, away from movie events, the pair have got closer and closer, just last month enjoying an off-duty date night in New York.
Lily held onto her boyfriend’s arm as they walked together, with the Call Me By Your Name star gently resting a hand on his 20-year-old partner’s back.
