TikTok star Eva Evans, who created the Amazon Prime series Club Rat, has died aged 29.
Evans’ sister Lila Joy announced she had died on Instagram on Sunday. No cause of death was given.
‘Yesterday my family received news that our sweet, fabulous, creative, caring, hilarious Eva, my beautiful sister, has died,’ she wrote.
‘After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance, so I know how unbelievable and hard to process this news will be.’
Lila shared they would be holding a celebration of Evans’ life in lower Manhattan on Tuesday and asked fans to DM her if they wanted to attend.
She continued: ‘I wish i had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words and know how to say what I don’t.
‘I am keeping this brief, so we can plan for the next few days, but you’ll be hearing a lot more from me on how much Eva means to me and just how different the world will be without her.’
Hundreds of people shared their condolences in the comments section, including Julia Fox.
The fashion icon wrote: ‘I literally can’t believe this.’
Paying tribute Suzy Welch penned: ‘The loss is unfathomable, to those of us lucky enough to have known her brilliance and goodness, but also to the world, which is not the place it was meant to be without her. Godspeed, Lila, and love.’
Lindsay Vrckovnik added: ‘This is heartbreaking. I’m so so so sorry sending you and your family all of my love and strength.
On TikTok, Evans had over 300K followers and 13.6M likes.
Her videos included reviews of beauty products and recommendations in New York City, where she lived.
Evans was also behind the five-parter Amazon Prime comedy series Club Rat, which she created, directed, produced and starred in.
Club Rat follows a self-absorbed influencer who attempts to re-enter the chaotic New York City dating scene after a candid video of her humiliating breakup goes viral.
