Three brunettes take the self-care hair colour challenge

So, you’ve nailed the whole being kind to other people thing, and you’re basking in the warm glow of sprinkling sunshine and joy. But life is hard (and busy) enough, so don’t forget to be kind to yourself, too.

There are lots of big and small things we can do in the name of self care. Being beauty lovers, our No1 favourite way to spend a #SelfCareDay is with an at-home spa sesh. Yep, we’re talking dressing gown on, tunes turned up and ‘project me’ getting our full attention. Ah, blissful time to indulge your sheet-mask habit, exfoliate or do a DIY pedi.

On our radar this time? A colour refresh for our hair. But because this is sacred self-care time, we only want products that are kind to our hair and scalp. Enter Schwarzkopf Only Love permanent hair colour with calming oat milk, nourishing soy protein and caring argan oil. And even better? It’s ammonia, silicone and alcohol* free, for extra kindness. You might assume that cutting out these chemicals means less impressive results, but no, you get intense colour and perfect grey coverage**. Genius.

We asked three beauty and fashion influencers to put it to the test in a GLAMOUR Tries video so you can see just how full of natural goodness it is. Our testers are all brunettes, which is perfect for showing off the super-glossy results, but there’s a range of ten shades, from Spicy Blonde to Mocca Brown and Jet Black. Watch our video to see how they got on…

As you can see, it’s kind to your scalp, super-easy to use – great if you’ve never coloured your own hair before, and a lot less hassle and money than a salon trip. We are all; about the easy wins.

Self care is a mindset, and it’s probably the healthiest habit you can get into. Taking time out to be kind to yourself helps make you feel good, too. And shiny, glossy hair colour? We reckon that’s a pretty awesome bonus.

Schwarzkopf Only Love is available exclusively at Superdrug.
*Ethyl alcohol. ***Grey coverage is dependant on shade chosen.
Always do an allergy alert test 48 hours before trying a new hair colour product.
