This deal takes the sword to other Black Friday offerings.
It’s taken until the day before Black Friday, but we’ve finally got what seems to be a stonking Nintendo Switch Black Friday deal. While the 299 price of this bundle is a tad more than some of the offers seen over the week, we reckon this is the best value bundle yet seeing as it includes Pokmon Sword and Mario Kart 8. And yes, it’s the new Switch model with improved battery life.
You can spend less on a Switch this Black Friday, but most bundles elsewhere are offering a game and the console for around the 280 mark. Or a new game and a budget release for 300. Pokmon Sword is a hugely in-demand game that is high on most people’s wanted lists, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a must-own gem in the Switch game library.
It’s also worth noting that it’s possible to knock another 50 off this Switch bundle, although you’ll need to sign up for a Very credit account (without having done so before). Do this and use the code “PAQ96” to “buy now, pay later,” and the whole bundle will set you back a cool 249. Please note that not paying off the full amount before the interest-free period will result in you paying more than the borrowed amount.
Each of these games will set you back approximately 40 each if bought new, so in effect this bundle is dropping the price of the Neon Switch console to just 220. That might not be the Black Friday deal dreams are made of, but it’s close.
Two games are more than enough to keep you going through the cold winter months, but if you absolutely must get the excellent port of The Witcher 3, it’s currently on sale. Just Dance 2020 also isn’t a bad shout, either to amuse yourself or to keep the kids happy. A large Switch micro SD card is also worth buying, as you’ll soon fill the Switch’s internal storage.
If you’d rather opt for the portable-focused Switch Lite, then the deal below from Amazon is the best we’ve seen so far this Black Friday. It’s not, in our opinion, anywhere close to the value of the deal above, but is significantly cheaper.
