This Morning doctor Zoe Williams has revealed her new baby son’s name publicly for the first time.
The morning television regular, 41, announced she had welcomed her son to the world with partner Stuart McKay three weeks ago.
After announcing the birth of her baby, Zoe told her social media followers that she was taking a break from the platforms to enjoy her “newborn love bubble” but promised to update fans in due course.
And now she has revealed her son’s name – Lisbon Lion Williams-McKay.
The star opened up on his unique name and rather surprising arrival in a chat with Hello! magazine.
She revealed that her and Stuart had met in a bar in the Portuguese capital almost two years ago and thought it would be a fitting tribute.
She continued: “We had picked out the name Lisbon very early in our relationship, before he was even conceived.”
And she admitted that her new baby son made a quicker entrance than she could have imagined.
Baby Lisbon, who weighed 8lb, arrived before the couple’s midwife had even had the chance to reach their south London home.
She told the publication: “I had planned on a home birth, but as it turned out, there wasn’t much choice because he came quite quickly.
“It was a beautiful moment when Stuart and I were facing each other in the (birthing) pool, we looked down and he was there in the water.
“I picked him up and we had five minutes where we held him, before even checking if he was a girl or boy.”
The star’s partner Stuart said things have happened “just as nature intended” and insisted Lisbon’s arrival wasn’t stressful.
He heaped the praise on Zoe and said he had complete confidence that all would be fine.
The doctor now intends to take the year off from working as an NHS GP but admits she hopes to return to TV screens on This Morning sooner.
She sweetly said that the team at This Morning is “such a family” and confessed she plans to take her “strong little boy” Lisbon to see them in the near future.
