This Foot Cream Practically Saved My Dry Feet Overnight

For all the time and effort I’ve put into fine-tuning my skincare routine over the years, my feet have gotten very little attention. It’s actually quite embarrassing to admit how little I take care of them considering how much I run each week—not to mention that sandals are my preferred footwear during the summer season. Still, I like to act surprised when I notice calluses here and there or balk at the fact that my heels are getting drier by the second.

Getting a regular pedicure does help keep my feet and heels smooth, but it’s more of monthly indulgence than a daily habit. Besides, I’m pretty sure soft feet require serious maintenance year-round. What’s a girl to do? I’m not one to keep a pumice in my shower, nor do I particularly enjoy applying foot scrubs or peels because they leave a mess everywhere—and to be completely frank, I’m too lazy to clean it up afterwards. But I’m happy to report that I’ve found a solution—and that solution comes in a 3-ounce tube: the AmLactin Foot Repair Foot Cream Therapy.

The main reason why I love this £13.95 cream so much is because it works miracles practically overnight (who doesn’t want that?). I rub a pea-size amount on each foot after my shower, and then put a pair of socks on so the cream can absorb better. On lazier days, I’ll just dab a bit on specific dry patches and it works just as well. Besides, I like that it absorbs quickly into the skin and doesn’t have a lingering greasy feel or strong smell.

The other reason that this product stands out from the pack for me is that it’s formulated with lactic acid, which is a chemical exfoliant and a humectant—basically dermatologist-speak for a product that both exfoliates and hydrates. In fact, lactic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) commonly found in exfoliating skin care products. However, the skin on your feet is thicker and generally less sensitive than the skin on your face, so you can likely use this foot cream more often than you’d use a chemical exfoliant on your face.

Still need extra convincing? It’s a fan favourite on Amazon — 599 people have given the product a five-star rating, including before and after pics — and I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to give their lovely feet some extra TLC!
