When Primark first launched on the British high street, it became the go-to destination for purse-friendly pyjamas and cheap fancy dress but over the past year, it’s cemented its status as a surprising beauty haven.
The Ps… Beauty Range offers everything from contour sticks to false nails and nothing costs more than £10. The brand’s foundations, concealers and mascaras have received rave reviews from impressed shoppers who claim the formulations exceed their more expensive counterparts.
The latest cosmetic from the collection to amass hundreds of positive reviews is the PS Wonder Lash mascara, which costs £3 and has been compared by shoppers to higher-end versions.
People shared their verdicts on Facebook, where they hailed the mascara ‘amazing’ and noted how friends ask if they’re wearing false lashes when they’ve used the mascara.
“I love the £3 boxed mascaras from Primark. Better than some expensive ones I’ve had!,” wrote one, whilst another added: “I absolutely love this! At work I’m always asked if I have extensions in when I wear it.”
“I bought this last month and it’s amazing, it makes me look like I actually have lashes,” added another impressed shopper.
Shoppers are so desperate to get their hands on the mascara, which sells every 7 seconds, that they’ve been buying it in bulk – and some are selling it on eBay for three times the price.
It’s not the first Primark mascara to attract such glowing reviews; earlier this year, the Aqualash version send shoppers into a frenzy and Primark’s Double Coverage Matte Foundation was compared to designer versions costing three times the price.
