The Walking Dead season 10: Creator reveals why he really killed Rick Grimes in the comics


The Walking Dead fans will remember the penultimate episode that saw Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) killed off in a shocking turn of events. With Rick being the main character of the show, fans hit back at the creator. However, Robert Kirkman has now explained why Rick had to go.

Speaking to Comicbook.com at the Walking Dead season 10 premiere, the creator revealed his thinking behind Rick’s death.

The creator began: “Rick Grimes fixed the world to the point where he was so safe.

“That he could be killed by the weakest character in the book.

“It’s a statement on how good of a job he did.”
