The Walking Dead is known for killing off some of their much loved characters.

Glenn, Abraham, Carl, Hershel, Lori…

And it turns out the cast take their pals leaving the show just as hard as the fans.

Chatting at Walker Stalker in London on Saturday, Ross Marquand, who plays Aaron in the AMC hit revealed that once an actors time is upon the show, the cast and crew hold ‘death dinners’ to say their goodbyes.

Sounds pretty morbid… but we promise it’s not.

The actor explained that they all write a speech to their buddies to where they reveal how much they loved working alongside them.

Kind of like a funeral but the person is still alive.

He said: ‘It’s weird [when someone leaves].

‘We do death dinners where we say nice things about a person while they’re still living.’

The star joked about how it’s actually a great thing to do and wished more people would get on board with.

He said: ‘People should do this in real life outside of the show. It’s great to give a speech about them while they’re still alive and kicking.

‘Even though it does suck, we say what we love and what we have learned and then we say goodbye. It’s always very tough.’

The star then went on to discuss which deaths on the show hit him the hardest – and it turns out it was Glenn’s.

Ross said: ‘Glenn and Abraham’s deaths were very impressive with the special effects.

‘But just being in that moment – to me, that was some of the best work we’ve done on the show.’

He continued: ‘To lose our beloved characters those were two difficult ones to deal with. That hit me hard.’
