'The Voice': Blake Shelton misses Adam Levine, but Kelly Clarkson has taken over trolling

Spoiler alert: This story contains details about Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice.”

Blake Shelton is missing Adam Levine.

The Maroon 5 frontman walked away from “The Voice” after 16 seasons, leaving Shelton as the last original coach on the NBC singing competition. He’s competing this season against Levine’s replacement, Gwen Stefani, reigning champ John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.

“I’m having, like … What is it when the person gets separated from their kidnapper? I’m having Stockholm syndrome,” Shelton said Tuesday during the fourth night of Blind Auditions.

But the country crooner doesn’t have to miss Levine’s disses and sabotaging too much, because Clarkson has stepped in and kept the heat on.

“I have to fill this seat properly,” Clarkson said, referring to Levine’s old chair. “I feel like Adam’s going to definitely make fun of me if I don’t go in on Blake. I guess I’ll do it.”

The “American Idol” alum sharpened her undermining skills following James Violet’s rendition of Harry Styles’ “Sweet Creature.” Clarkson, Shelton and Stefani all turned, vying to be his coach.

Stefani said Violet’s voice is “soothing, its emotional, it’s relaxed.”

Shelton added, “Your voice can take somebody kind of out of where they’re at. Especially us in these chairs. You kind of remove us from this area and the next thing, you know, we’re out in the woods somewhere.”

Clarkson quickly interjected: “Whoa! You just went, like, ‘Deliverance.’ … Why are you in the woods with him? What’s happening? He’s going to be creepy. You should pick me.”

“I thought my pitch was weird,” Stefani quipped. Shelton added, “Just pick me as your coach dammit; my God.”

Violet, 20, ended up joining the “No Doubt” rocker’s team. “I feel like my pitch went off the rails a little bit, but Blake and Kelly’s went even further. So I think that’s why I won,” she gloated.
