TV viewers who tuned into new BBC thriller The Victim last night believe they have already worked out who the killer is – Karla’s “creepy” boyfriend Danny.
The first episode of the four-part BBC One drama aired on Monday and had watchers hooked.

It follows the story of Anna Dean, a nurse whose son was murdered 15 years earlier.
Meanwhile, Craig Myers is attacked because he’s identified as the child murderer Eddie J Turner.
Anna is accused of having been the one to say that Craig is really the killer Eddie.
But viewers flocked to Twitter to say they believe that Craig is innocent – and that the real killer is the boyfriend of Anna’s daughter Karla.
They were convinced of his murderous capabilities by his “creepy” actions during the first episode.
One user said: “Really impressed with #TheVictim so far. Atmospheric, claustrophobic and everyone wound up so tightly.
“Calling already though how odd and creepy is the daughter’s boyfriend?”
Another viewer added: “Well I watched #TheVictim and it was pretty good so far.
“Loving the twists and already trying to work it all out is giving me a sair heid the boyfriend definitely did it btw.”
One confidently stated: “Eddie is the daughters boyfriend, I’m calling it now #thevictim”.
And a fourth wrote: “I think most obvious thing is that the daughter’s boyfriend is the grim reaper guy but idk that’ll probably turn out not to be true #TheVictim[sic].”
Viewers will be led deeper into the intriguing mystery tonight – with the remaining episodes being shown on Wednesday and Thursday.
