When will The Trouble With Maggie Cole season 2 air?
As the first series has only just come to an end, it is hard to say for certain when a second series will hit screens.
Bearing in mind the filming and production process, a new series is not likely to come out until at least the summer of 2021.
But with the coronavirus pandemic halting most filming and production of series across the world, it could be even longer before a second series is aired.
French said she would love to feature in a second series, which should explore the villagers’ lives more.
She said: “Oh definitely. Our little family has worked very well together. I liked working with these actors very much. I love Mark Heap such a lot.
“What we need to decide is what would happen next in the village to authentically explode it again? So that’s exciting.
“Funnily enough Sophie ran one of Mark’s ideas passed me the other day and I said, ‘Oh my God, that happened up the road from where I live.’ So that felt truly authentic.
“I’m really happy with The Trouble with Maggie Cole. It feels unique. The tone is quite particular. It’s drama, it’s comedy, but it’s got a big, big pulsing heart at the centre of it with true friendships and proper relationships.”
