SUN staff raised thousands of pounds for charity in memory of Christina Earle, our health editor who tragically died at just 31.
From Richmond, West London, to Sun HQ at London Bridge, they completed the 18-mile “Christina’s Walk” in aid of Brain Tumour Research.
It was a subject close to Christina’s heart after pal and Sun writer Nicki Waterman died from an aggressive tumour in 2016.
Yesterday’s walk, in which family and friends of Christina followed the route of the Thames, has so far raised more than £4,000 towards vital research.
Organiser Jenny Francis, Christina’s friend and fitness editor at The Sun, said: “We wanted to celebrate Christina’s wonderful life while raising money for a cause she was passionate about.”
Christina died a year ago today.
Husband Oliver said the walk was “a wonderful way to remember her”.
Janice Wright, who works with Brain Tumour Research, said the charity was “extremely grateful”.
