The Society: trailer and release date for new Netflix series

There’s a new Netflix series on the way in a couple of weeks that could be worth a watch. The Society – sadly nothing to do with Brian Yuzna’s body horror classic, Society – is aiming for a The 100 meets Lord Of The Flies kinda vibe, as a group of teenagers are ‘mysteriously transported’ to a strange version of their home town that has the added bonus (for some) of ‘no parents’.

Soon, the kids’ off the chain approach to living descends into dangerous territory, as they try to piece together why they’re at the centre of these strange events, and how to get back to reality.

Here’s the first trailer…

The series stars Rachel Keller, Kathryn Newton, Alex Fitzalan, Kristine Froseth, Jacques Colimon, Sean Berdy, Toby Wallace, Gideon Adlon, Olivia DeJonge, Alex MacNicoll, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Jose Julian, Salena Qureshi, Jack Mulhern and Grace Victoria Cox and was created for Netflix by Chris Keyser (Party Of Five) and Marc Webb (500 Days Of Summer).

The first season of The Society, consisting of ten episodes, will be streaming from 10th May.
