THE RADFORD parents, Sue and Noel, have revealed just how much food they need buy for their brood-of-24 – and a ”lot” would be an understatement.

Sue, 47, and her partner, Noel, 51, uploaded a YouTube video unpacking their massive supermarket shop and it completely filled the kitchen.

Speaking to camera, Noel said: ”We’ve gone to The Food Warehouse to do a weekly shop, which we’ve started using quite a lot now cause we find it really great for big families like ours.

”Big bags of pasta, spaghetti, chicken, big boxes of cereal.”

With Brits currently experiencing one of the worst cost-of-living crisis in years, the nation’s largest family, The Radford Family, visited their local The Food Warehouse store in Blackpool to find out how they can make their weekly shop cheaper.

Noel and Sue Radford took a trip down the aisles and shared their experience with their 341,000 followers on the family’s YouTube channel.

In the clip, the parents revealed what they were planning to have for dinner – a tasty chicken and broccoli creamy pesto pasta dish which they managed to get at a steal for just £1.69 per person.

To make the meal, Noel picked up 4.5kg of chicken, a huge 5kg bag of pasta, 400g of broccoli florets, some pesto, and a whopping 4.75kg of Cheddar cheese.

The eagle-eyed dad also found an amazing bargain – a massive 5kg bag of long grain rice for just £6.

”Going in my basket.”

For a healthy start of the day, the parents then made sure to stock up on 72 Weetabix bars – a firm family favourite, according to Noel.

”They will eat them morning, noon and night.

”They’ll have them for breakfast, as soon as they come home from school and then again when they go to bed.”

After returning home, they unpacked all the contents of their weekly shop – and it’s safe to say the kitchen was full of food.

Boxes of mince meat, orange juice, full fat milk, what felt like a never ending pile of cereal, 30 eggs, a massive bag of rice, fruit and vegetables – just to name a few.

But despite the huge amount, the overall came to just £114.19.

The savvy parents also shared shopping tips with their fans:

  1. Buy one bigger pack staple item such as chicken or mince and enjoy it multiple ways throughout the week, it’s cost effective and saves you buying multiple ingredients.
  1. Make a list in advance and plan meals for the weeks ahead so it’s easy to know which items to buy big on – it can help save money in the long run if buying bigger packs is a preference.
  1. Batch cook meals to help combat food waste – cook meals and then store some in the fridge for lunch the next day or freeze portions for a later date. All the hard work is done, and it results in a quick mid-week meal without any fuss.

Fans of the Radfords took it to comments, with one writing: ”We love it [The Food Warehouse] and during this recession the prices are ideal for meals for those watching the pennies.
