The producers behind Big Little Lies and Bird Box have teamed up for epic psychological thriller, The Undoing

If you’re still suffering from Big Little Lies withdrawal symptoms, you’ll be pleased to know the craving is about to be satisfied. David E. Kelley, creator of the beloved series, has teamed up with Bird Box director, Susanne Bier, to bring eager viewers brand new psychological thriller, The Undoing.

The six-part drama starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant is based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s novel You Should Have Known. According to the official synopsis, the story follows ‘Grace and Jonathan Fraser, who are living the only lives they ever wanted for themselves. Overnight a chasm opens in their lives: a violent death and a chain of terrible revelations. Left behind in the wake of a spreading and very public disaster and horrified by the ways in which she has failed to heed her own advice, Grace must dismantle one life and create another for her child and her family.’

The actress will also serve as executive producer under her company, Blossom Films.

“The great thing about the series – and what really drew me to it – is that it’s so twisty and nothing is as it seems,” Kidman revealed during a TCA panel. “It’s so hard to talk about it because as it unfolds you can reveal more things but right now, choosing to unknow things is a fascinating part of human nature. When you choose and what you choose to believe and what you choose to see, that’s the basis of a lot of the psychology of this series. We choose to see certain things. Also, everyone has secrets.”

While no official release date has been confirmed, The Undoing is expected to drop in May 2020 on Sky Atlantic.

Step aside, BLL.
